WELCOME TO SKOPELOS The Island of Blue and Green...

Skopelos is part of the Sporades Islands consisting of Skopelos, Skiathos and Alonnisos.

The quaint narrow streets, the crystal clear water, ever so blue, and the view of the unending forests have made Skopelos an ideal location for vacationers. It is the ultimate place for those who crave both the natural beauty from all the serene nature, as well as an island which will revitalize them.

You can travel to Skopelos Island from Agios Konstantinos, Volos and Thessaloniki either by ship or flying dolphins. You may also fly into Skiathos airport, and take a ship or flying dolphin to Skopelos (the boat ride is usually about 20 minutes)

-Nature Hikes are so popular, as there are trails throughtout our island

-There are over 350 churches and monasteries on Skopelos

-So many beaches to choose from .all with their own personalities and characteristics some sandy, some rocky, some pebbly, and combinations thereof. There is a beach for all from quiet secluded beaches, to the very popular beaches

-Night life is fun

-Great restaurants all over the island

-Folklore museum on the island, as well as other museums showing the traditional Skopelos handiwork and craftsmanship

-You can rent a car or scooter to explore the island, both on and off road as well as boat rentals to explore the sea and the neighboring island (s)

There is always a surprise waiting for you where you least expect it, goats crossing the street, pigs on mountain tops along the main road to the beaches, natural and endangered wildlife .even seeing dolphins and seals if you are lucky etc.

-Restaurants/bars There are so many restaurants on the island-- ones from traditional Skopelos fare to French cuisine, and in between..for whatever the occasion and budget, the island easily appeases to all.

-There is live traditional bouzouki music high on the hill, behind the town overlooking the town and sea..where one can enjoy dinner and drinks, while listening and reminiscing 

-Modern music is also available at local clubs/bars
